You may have walked with Valeways, but do you know all about us?
We are a locally based small charity, dedicated to opening up access to the country and coastal paths of the Vale, for people of all backgrounds and abilities. Valeways:
maintain and care for country and coastal pathways throughout the Vale of Glamorgan,
lead and manage twice weekly volunteer path-clearing teams, sharing skills with disabled and unemployed people - helping many to return to work,
organise weekly Health Walks to keep residents active, healthy and in touch with their locality / communities in Barry, Cowbridge, Penarth, and Llantwit Major,
publicise and encourage use of the Vale’s coastal and inland treasures for all with year-round free guided walks, including the organization of the Vale of Glamorgan Walking Festival.
Encouraged and used by thousands of people over the last two decades, Valeways is now setting up a Friends of Valeways scheme. If you love the landscape of the Vale, and support our aims.
FRIENDS OF VALEWAYS

“Valeways is at the very heart of the Vale of Glamorgan, keeping open the arteries of this beautiful landscape - such an important part of our heritage.
With community volunteers, they work to give access to over 400 miles of pathways a year; their walks are always fascinating, and a pleasure for everyone, of all ages and abilities.
I’m delighted to be a Friend of Valeways - I hope you will join us.”
